Joel Sanderson makes custom wrought iron tables in a beautiful variety, including dining tables, coffee tables, end tables, wine tables and entry tables.  He also makes custom wrought iron railing, fence, furniture, lights, gates and sculpture for homes, businesses and churches.  His work is seen in prominent art galleries across America.  By working closely with home owners, designers and architects, Joel Sanderson develops the design of the iron work most suited to the space at hand.

Through a life-long fascination for the working of hot iron, he has developed unique methods of manipulation for this age-old medium.  Working in a facility equipped with belt driven machinery over a hundred years old, Joel has combined the most successful methods of the past with new inventive approaches for working iron, the most versatile of all material.

Joel has searched across America for rare 19th and early 20th century metalworking machinery which allows him to create his ideas.  Some of these early belt driven machines are sole survivors from a past era.  These rare machines, driven by an 1898 Reid engine, allow expression in metal not possible in any other studio in America.  Through the use of this unique mechanical vocabulary, combined with a life-long dedication to the understanding of metal, Joel Sanderson creates works of unprecedented form and beauty and has become a leader in his medium.
